When I started with Jim I was unable to run through “plantar fascia-itis” and pregnant. I was unsure about what exercise to do within these constraints. I wanted to run. I had tried various other personal trainers, medical advisors and got no-where. 
This was my last chance if you like – I was ready to give up hope of being able to run again. I am now running!!!! (within guidelines managed by Jim) And continually improving. (Stef has recently completed a 10km run and is about to do another in April 08 and is currently working up for her first triathlon) 
Due to your careful management of me I have achieved my initial goals. I trust your judgement and do try to do what I am told. You also understand external pressures and allow for this. Overall the goals and workload are realistic and therefore manageable – and effective.

When I started with Jim my health was declining, my back was bad I was overweight and had just gone from pre-diabetic to diabetic and the doctors were starting to say that I would need to start injecting insulin. 
After a few months on my JT Ethos plan I am moving better, have loads more energy and have been able to get back to hill walking which I have previously been unable to do due to too many aches, pains and an overall lack of strength & fitness 
This has been a well thought out and structured plan to look at my needs and tailored to me and my goals. 
My main aim for all of this was to reverse the effects of my type II diabetes and despite some wrangling with the doctors I have successfully reversed my diabetes and am now no longer on any medication.

In January this year whilst at a ‘Goal Setting’ training event, I sat with Jim and talked about my goals for fitness, family and my future. Having had some time where my aches and ails kept building the final straw was when my latest love - running - was no longer an option because of an injured ankle. 
I met with Jim in February and embarked on what can only be described as a journey of self discovery; commencing with a questionnaire and an examination, followed by the provision of a programme os stretching and low impact exercises. We talked about diet, nutrition and work/life balance amongst other things. 
I am now in a position where I am three stone lighter, my injured ankle is completely pain free, feel much fitter and recently completed a 5k run in which I recorded a personal best time. 
Jim has given me support, knowledge and belief to achieve several goals that I wrote back in January. The diet has become a way of life not only for me but for my wife Sharon who has also embraced the changes, losing weight herself. I am no longer suffering with long term injuries and health issues, and no longer on the cusp of diabetes. 
When I started with Jim I didn’t believe that would achieve the results that I have. Thank you for your help and your patience; it shows that you can teach an old dog new tricks! 
So if you are feeling lethargic, suffering from aches and pains and want to get fitter, speak to Jim, even if you are over 60, it definitely works.

My objective with Jim at the beginning was to reduce my ‘large stomach’ (Jim pointed out to me at the time, it was not about weight, but about objectives which I have now begun to understand’) I had only five sessions’ with Jim. In March I weighed 17 Stone The widest part of my Stomach was 49” ‘At my ‘belly button’ the measurement was 48” whilst my waist was 43” 
Today ( 20 05 2011) My weight is 15 stone 10 pounds, The widest part of my stomach is 46.5” At my belly button’ the measurement was 44” whilst my waist is 40.5” 
I am pleased to have met with Jim, with the guidance he has given me and the knowledge/confidence that I now have. I am confident that I have only just started my physical improvement, however the replacement wardrobe is becoming expensive! 
Set your objectives and don’t get deflected by other factors.

When I first met Jim I was overweight, unhappy and unfit, eating a terrible diet and not realising what was going in my mouth and most of the time not caring. My goal was just to attend a gym as I was scared of the place full stop, thinking that I could never use any of the equipment there. I had tried endless diets but never sticking to them as I found RABBIT FOOD sooo boring and not at all edible. 
I have now lost nearly three stone by working hard on the program that has been set for me and trying hard to maintain a diet that includes proper food and sometimes things as a treat. My situation has changed dramatically due to the perseverance of Jim and the upbeat tempo and laughter along the way. I am much fitter and stronger both in strength and in mind knowing that I can actually achieve my goal. 
My experience of working with Jim is that it is a completely mad experience but completely enjoyable to see the difference in body shape and the way it has changed my life in a good way, from everything to eating, sleeping and my BIG clothes no longer fitting, my knowledge about the body has stepped up a level and I am more aware of what I am putting into my body. I am still working with Jim as I have not reached my goal yet but am determined to get there and, with his help and sense of humour, I know I will.”

The past 3 months have been a very positive experience and have greatly changed my life for the better. I have have dropped 2 dress sizes and learnt things about eating healthily and what my body needs that I have never considered before.
